About Us

The entirety of Catamount Nation – alumni, friends, students, faculty, and staff – can participate on April 3, 2024, from 12:00 AM through 11:59 PM EST. 

Many universities – big and small, public, and private – have held giving days for years to provide additional support and inspire donors about exciting things happening on campus. Since our GivingTuesday efforts are focused on specific priorities, ODFW allows units and programs to ask alumni and friends for support directly for in-need and unit-specific initiatives. 

Our One Day for Western goal is to secure at least 1,200 donors across the 12 giving priority areas over 24 hours.  

Whatever you choose! We have identified priority focuses across the university, including high-priority funds for WCU, strategic priorities for our Fill the Western Sky campaign, and areas of need within specific colleges and unit. You can give to these priorities or any other cause you’re passionate about. However you choose to support WCU on One Day for Western will be celebrated; every gift helps to fill the Western sky.  

Think about your WCU experience or specific areas you care about: was there a professor who inspired you during your time at WCU? Do you have fond memories of a special place on campus? Are you passionate about the impact of a particular program? No matter what inspires you, there is an opportunity to support it at Western. Find your cause by exploring our giving pages!

Absolutely. Whether you can give $1, $100, or $1,000: today is one day to come together and make a difference. Matching gifts and challenges also help increase the impact of your gift. Taking advantage of those opportunities ensures your dollar goes further.

Promote ODFW on social media and with your networks and talk about how it takes each of us to make one day possible! Be sure to set your post to ‘public’ so we can see and share it with Catamount nation!
